ANPLAGGHED
by Rinaldo Gaspari, Arturo Brachetti
synopsis
Having filled sports arenas throughout Italy, the trio of Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo arrives in movie theatres for audiences who can no longer see them live, but still wish to laugh at their latest theatrical effort: Unplugged. Set on the outskirts of a large metropolis, the show features multiple characters who grapple with problems both large and small. The Earth is examined by three fly-by-night astronauts, plus a bookworm robot, whose Enterprise has landed on an unknown planet inhabited by aliens: the audience. The three comics present a new set of “minor monsters”, boneheads and cynics, depicting bumbling hoods, unlikely drug dealers, bickering neighbours and other bizarre characters typical of the stressed-out reality of big cities in their humorous, surreal style. Joining the trio in its irresistible gags is actress Silvana Fallisi.
